Thank you for visiting our website. KisanAid is a nonprofit organization that was created to alleviate economic and social depression in rural India. While India has made great strides and has become a global engine of economic growth, many serious problems must still be addressed.
The Issue
Hundreds of millions of people in India are involved in agriculture; however, the farmers themselves are at risk due to debt, lack of resources, and poor farming techniques, among many other issues.
Tragically, thousands of these farmers (over 100,000 since 1997 ) have committed suicide in order to escape their burdens. The most trying outcome of this is that it leaves behind torn families who struggle to survive.
What you can do
